Abstract

This important mid-eighth century site provides detailed information on the Early Iron Age economy and diet. It is the first Natal site to produce evidence of above-ground structures, large ceramic sculpture and ivory working. The pottery represents a new ceramic expression fitting between Msuluzi Confluence and Ntshekane.
